Thailand and travels of the crazy Californian
Life to me only makes sense when there is love in it. I am so happy when new things come into my life and they bring excitement and new experiences. I have to admit this is great! If I am honest with myself however, it is only the love shared with others that truely brings me happiness.
I could spend hours, and I did, walking around the city of Bangkok. To me, it’s not the rich culture, although it is amazing, it’s the people of Thailand that is so wonderful. The people, so warm, so inviting, and so willing to help wherever you go. I will never forget.
Cascading stream in the Sierras
This shot was taken last Summer in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Eastern California. When it’s hot out it a great place to relax and soak in the rays. This is one of the many Rivers and streams along Highway 88, heading out of the Central Valley and near the summit of the Sierra’s. This spot is near Silver Lake and about 3 to 4 hours West of San Francisco.
Looking forward to this Summer!
Adventures of riding an elephant
Our local elephant driver had a great sense of humor as we made our way down through the jungle and down the river. These wonderful creatures are surprisingly agile who seem to climb with little problem.
Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep temple, Thailand
After riding through the jungle and down the river on an elephant, we made our way up the Doi Suthep mountain to the Wat Phrathat Buddhist temple, and were greeted with such warmth by the praticing monks who we had the pleasure of joining in prayers and offerings. It is an experience I will never forget 🙂
